GPAMO & GIVING TUESDAY

On November 30, 2021, Greyhound Pet Adoption-Springfield, Missouri Celebrates GivingTuesday, joining millions around the world participating in the global generosity movement.

This GivingTuesday, Greyhound Pet Adoption-Springfield, Missouri (GPAMO) will inspire generosity by raising funds for the local welfare and adoption of retired racing Greyhounds.

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. GivingTuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on November 30, 2021, and throughout the year.

About GPAMO:

“Greyhound Pet Adoption Springfield MO is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides information, education, promotion of adoption and adoption of retired racing Greyhounds. We also promote cooperation with other adoption programs nationwide to further the placement of Greyhounds as pets into responsible loving homes. We believe in not only doing the best we can adopting Greyhounds in the Ozarks, but also in assisting other adoption programs throughout the US,” said Alane Shultz, founder of GPAMO. She has had retired racing Greyhounds as pets since 1983 and has facilitated Greyhound adoptions since 1992. “Greyhounds are clean, quiet and have no hereditary health problems. Their exercise requirements are surprisingly low - they prefer to curl up and have you pet them! Loving and loyal, your Greyhound is your fast friend for life!”

GPAMO has adopted out over 1,400 Greyhounds since 1992 and has helped hundreds of others get involved with other Greyhound adoption programs. In September 2016 GPAMO received its own 501(c)3 tax exempt organization status.

Those interested in joining GPAMO’s GivingTuesday initiative can give by clicking the donate button. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

About GivingTuesday

GivingTuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. Whether it’s helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving to causes we care about, every act of generosity counts. GivingTuesday has raised billions of dollars for critical causes around the world and gets 21 billion impressions on social media from people and organizations speaking up for the causes that matter to them and encouraging others to get involved in their communities.
